**BEWARE THE SPOILERS**
Wow, it's been like a three weeks since my last blog post. Things have really been busy around here with school. Thankfully, now I've got a holiday.
I've been looking for this book for ages, I found it then got busy with exams. I started it around last week and finished it three days ago. I didn't have time to write the review but here it is.
I loved the idea of it just as much as the others but unlike Eden and Kiran's story and Amelia and Avalon's story, it felt a bit incomplete. Jericho was always one of my favourite characters and I always wished to know exactly how he felt about Eden's marriage. In this book she describes his love for her as naive or amateur. Olivia is his soul mate and Ophelia her sister was in a coma. I loved that she even came up with that. The description of all the intense feelings towards her was amazing. Rachel Higginson describes true love almost perfectly in each and every one of the Star-crossed series.
The book was different than the ones before, I think it didn't feel like she made it as long as all of the other's stories. Maybe that's why it feels a little incomplete. There was something missing. I don't know what exactly but it's the reason I gave a 4 star rating. For all the books in this series I gave 5 stars yet this one I didn't. I hate that I even thought about 4 stars but I guess I want to give people my honest opinion.
I think I hate Terletov just as much as the characters do. All the times he was in the book were set brilliantly and how he left was also just as brilliant. The whole thing of Terletov and the scientific research and molecular changes was just genius. It was just scientific research and Dmitri managed to change a human into an immortal.
The gypsy queen, her arrival at the palace was to see Olivia. When she met her, as always the queen had talked in riddles but one thing was not elaborated. Olivia had asked, What's the difference between a Human Immortal and an Immortal Human? If I remember correctly then that question had gone unanswered. I'm still curious to know the answer. Then there was the whole thing about the story, right? The gypsy queen had brought up Olivia and Sebastian, the characters in the story, about how they fall in love. Olivia told Jericho but then Jericho thought she literally meant Sebastian. She never told him that she didn't mean Sebastian and I thought that maybe she should have.
There was one more thing, Orion, Olivia's brother, was brought up more than a few times in the book, yet, when he actually was introduced, he was never brought up again. That annoyed me, since he was meant to be killed.
Despite the things I didn't like, the whole sequel is a recommendation.
Remember to email me and remember that:
I LOVE YOU ALL,
Bee.
